Lancia B24S Spider America_1.jpg

1955 Lancia Aurelia B24S Spider America

Coachwork by Pinin Farina

Chassis No. B24S 1024

Engine No. B24 *1075*

- One of only 181 left-hand-drive examples

- A numbers-matching example as documented by it’s Lancia Certificate

- Strikingly finished in black with a red leather interior

- Desirably outfitted with a Nardi kit and Borrani wire wheels

- An ideal concours and driving event entrant

As confirmed by Lancia, this Spider America was originally finished in grey with a red leather interior and delivered new on the 18th of May, 1955. While the car’s early history remains unknown, the B24S was eventually acquired by noted collector and Lancia devotee Oscar Davis.

The current owner, a longterm collector of significant European sports cars, acquired this B24S Spider for the correctness and originality it possessed. In addition to retaining its original “matching numbers” engine block, the motor is complete with both identically numbered cylinder heads and sump. Additionally, the matching body numbers stampings can be found in the trunk and hood.

In addition to a full cosmetic restoration in the striking black with red color scheme seen today, the B24S is desirably fitted with a set of Borrani wire wheels and a Nardi dual-carb performance kit (the original air cleaner for which remains with the car).

The Spider America, one of the 1950s most beautiful and evocative automotive designs, remains a highly prized car for the phenomenal mechanical abilities and quality. A genuine left-hand-drive example, this Lancia would make an ideal concours or driving event entrant and remains an invitation to some of the motoring world’s most exclusive events.
